Our Elders
As we read the New Testament, it is apparent that God’s plan for local churches is that each one have elders (also described as shepherds, bishops, pastors and overseers) to lead each local “team” of saints (Acts 14:23; Philippians 1:1). In order to serve as a shepherd, a man must be mature in Christ and possess the divinely-given characteristics and leadership skills given in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9, so that he can do the work God has given overseers to do. That work includes leading, feeding, planning, protecting, and providing for the saints allotted to their charge, as they watch over their souls. College View is blessed to have three men occupying the office and doing the work of spiritual shepherds: David Groce, Eddie Paden and Todd Sullivan. We love and appreciate them for their selfless, sacrificial service to us, and to the Lord.
